Needed MEL Director

**Seeking Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Director for the USAID/Jordan Women’s Economic Empowerment and Leadership Activity

Position Description: GRI is seeking candidates to serve as MEL Director for USAID’s anticipated Jordan Women’s Economic Empowerment and Leadership Activity (WEELA). WEELA will improve women’s access to job markets, enhance the workforce enabling environment, and address inequalities and prohibitive social norms and traditions.The MEL Director will be responsible for leading monitoring, evaluation, learning, reporting, and data collecting activities.

Responsibilities: The MEL Director will provide oversight and strategic direction for monitoring, evaluating, and learning activities for WEELA. The MEL Director will guide the WEELA team and partners to apply adaptive management techniques and incorporate lessons learned into project implementation. The M&E Director will be responsible for data validation, analysis, and dissemination and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of all program reporting.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in senior/managerial M&E, data quality assessments or field research role
• Experience setting up and overseeing MEL systems for donor programs, preference for experience in gender equity programs
• Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative methodologies and data visualization techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability and interest to live and work in Aman, Jordan
• Fluency in both English and Arabic required **
