**Seeking Grants Manager Candidates for the USAID/Jordan Women’s Economic Empowerment and Leadership Activity

Position Description: GRI is seeking candidates to serve as Grants Manager for USAID’s anticipated Jordan Women’s Economic Empowerment and Leadership Activity (WEELA). WEELA will improve women’s access to job markets, enhance the workforce enabling environment, and address inequalities and prohibitive social norms and traditions. The Grants Manager will be responsible for administering the full cycle of grants management activities, including managing solicitations, awarding and administering sub-contract activities, and, overseeing relevant accounting and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities related to grants management.
Responsibilities: The Grants Manager will bear primary responsibility for all grants management tasks, including the establishment of detailed systems and procedures for the management of grants activities, the preparation of grant agreement templates and other compliance-related documents related to the solicitation, review, and approval of grant requests, as well as the monitoring and close out of grant awards. Grants Manager is also responsible for accurate and timely reporting of all grant-related matters and providing training, technical assistance, and policy guidance to project staff, grantees and other implementing partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in grants management, administering grants and sub-awards with USAID-funded project
- Previous experience in building the financial management capacity of grantees
- Knowledge of USAID rules and regulation and accounting principles preferred
- Ability and interest to live and work in Aman, Jordan
- Professional working knowledge of both English and Arabic required **
