A MENTAL HEALTH AND CARE PRACTICES PROGRAM MANAGER – JORDAN

Country: Jordan, based in Irbid
Length of contract: 9 months, starting as soon as possible
The position: The MHCP Program Manager will have to implement the assigned MHCP project, respecting ACF’s strategy, and following ACF and international standards and national policies. More presicely, your responsabilities will be : To contribute to the analysis on the strategy and the positioning of the MHCP department
To ensure the implementation, monitoring and reporting of MHCP projects
To contribute to the quality and accountability processes and assessment of the impact of the program
To participate in external representation and coordination with ACF’s partners in the area
To train and manage MHCP teams
To contribute to the capitalization and technical development within MHCP sector
To guarantee and ensure the confidentiality of data collected during the MHCP activities of the mission
The applicant : You hold a master’s degree in clinical psychology, preferably combined with a public health diploma. You have knowledge and experience on the organizations of mental health services in public health settings. You have already applied international guidelines for mental health care integration into primary care (e.g. mhGap, WHO’s integration checklist, PRIME, etc.), and have substantial knowledge regarding programme management in the field, and knowledge of standard logistics, financial and HR procedures and practices. You have demonstrated both successful clinical and humanitarian field experiences in mental health and care practices, with at least 1 year in a managerial role, and at least 1 year in volatile security context in a humanitarian NGO.
Recognized for your relational and communicational skills, you have developed strong training and team supervision capacities. You are also autonomous, organized and self-motivated.
A previous experience in working on the Syrian crisis or in the Middle East would be ideal.
Your English (oral and written) is fluent, and speaking Arabic would be an advantage.
A first experience with ACF would be an asset.
Status – Remuneration and Benefits:
·Salaried status
·Gross monthly salary: from €1600 to €1975 upon experience
·Per diem and living allowance: 660 € (eurocost rules) net, field paid
·+ 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen
·+ Child allowance, limited to 5 children
Transportation and accommodation:
·Coverage of transportation costs to and in the mission.
·Individual room in guesthouse covered (préciser si logement individuel)
Medical coverage:100% coverage of medical expenses + repatriation insurance.
Leaves and RnR:
·25 days of paid leaves per year.
·+ 20 RnR per year.
·+ 215 € at each RnR period (averagely every 3 months – préciser si mission plus favorable).
·Coverage of the transportation expenses to the RnR area of reference.
Training :
·Free and unlimited access to the certifying e-learning platform Crossknowledge ©.
·Technical trainings at HQ or regional level (averagely 1 per year).
Manager’s word : The main objective of this project is to contribute to strengthen public services and social resilience for refugees, IDPs and host communities in Syrian crisis-affected areas of Iraq and Jordan. Both Program Managers working in Iraq and Jordan will be in collaboration for the first 9 months of this long term AFD project.
