Job Purpose:

The Grants Development and Reporting Manager, based in Jordan, is the focal point for compiling grant proposals, donor contract modifications, donor communication, reports, as well as a range of regular and ad hoc reports and communication tools used for both internal and external dissemination of information. The Grants Development and Reporting Manager will support training and development of IMC staff and partners to improve and standardize reporting and proposal development across IMC’s portfolio. The Grants Development and Reporting Manager stays abreast of situational developments, obtaining information from both internal and external sources to contextualize the work of International Medical Corps’ response programming in country of operation. The GD&RM will periodically travel to Turkey to provide trainings to IMC partners.
Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and drafting of concept notes, full proposals, modification requests, and supporting documents according to the program management tool.
  • Provide assistance in preparation of budgets in coordination with program and finance personnel Organize and support in grants kick off meetings
  • Participate in and support grant review meetings
  • Tracks program progress on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Support in collating information for proposal development, donor information requests, coordinating inputs from relevant staff
  • Maintain grants filing system for all IMC grants, including agreements, proposals, revisions, reports, etc.
  • Support program compliance and internal control procedures according to internal and donor regulations
  • Liaise with in-country, regional and headquarters on grant management activities, including ad hoc requests for information and updates

Reporting

  • Support program team and local partners in activities reporting through the capacity building trainings, development of standardized information and reporting tools
  • Provide regular situation analysis (security, political, media, from other agencies/actors), regarding humanitarian needs and data collection from program activities
  • Maintain a donor-reporting schedule and share with relevant staff on a timely basis
  • Support the development of communication tools (for internal and external use), including maps, case studies, and info graphics

Internal/External Coordination

  • Support information flow from the field, regionally and with headquarters

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, International Development and/or in a relevant field of study

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience with an international humanitarian organization
  • Proven experience in writing proposals and managing information related to large-scale emergency response and reporting to donors (OFDA, BPRM, DFID, ECHO, UNHCR, OCHA, etc.)

Competency

  • Strong understanding of the Syrian crisis
  • Insight into health services, physical rehabilitation, protection and mental health and psycho-social support is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently
  • Ability to meaningfully contribute to decision-making processes Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to lead and coordinate processes across a number of departments
  • Flexible, able to cope with stressful situations and frustrations
  • Competent in MS Excel, word processing, Power Point, and tools useful in information management and program reporting such as mapping
  • Strong written and verbal English language is necessary; Arabic or Turkish is an asset
