Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent of this position under the direct supervision of the Associate Public Health Officer, will
be entrusted with performing the following major duties and responsibilities:
Responsibility:
* Assist health care service delivery in UNHCR Operations is up-to-date standards and policies through:
* Assist in the formulation of project proposals based on the results of evaluations carried out;
* Assist in proper coordination with officials of relevant institutions involved in planning and
implementation of assistance to individual refugees;
* Draft correspondence, reports and statistics as required;
* Assist in strengthening of UNHCR health information System in camp and urban settings.
* Assist in disseminating information materials on health based on standard practices and policies among
partners;
* Use the public health tools for the monitoring and follow-up of the medical cases;
* Assist regular field site visits to partner and public clinics for the follow up of the referred medical
cases;
* Ensure effective tracking of the inpatients from partner clinics to the out contracted hospitals;
* Assist in effective communication with Health unit, implementing partners and out contracted
hospital’s focal person and selected PH facilities;
* Assist in the formal and informal training to build the capacity of refugees, UNHCR and its partners in
*Health in UNHCR operations and;
* Performs other duties as required

Essential qualifications, knowledge and experience:
* Completion of Secondary Education with certificate/training in Public Health.
* Minimum 5 years of previous job experience relevant to the function.
* Fluency in English and Arabic
* Communication and computer skills.
Desirable qualifications and competencies:
* Knowledge of humanitarian or relief coordination is an asset.
* University Degree in a medical related field or a Public health background is preferable
