Data Entry Specialist ( Jordanian Nationals Only)
Organization: The Center for Victims of Torture (CVT) provides rehabilitative support to survivors of torture and war violence and works for the prevention of torture worldwide. We work locally, nationally and internationally through programs that provide treatment services, training, research and advocacy that heal survivors and end the practice of torture.
Position: Data Entry Specialist
Location: Based in Amman with visits, as needed, to other CVT centers and potential other areas within Jordan
Objective: The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for the data entry of clinical assessments and program activity information, and for providing support to the monitoring and evaluation team as needed. S/he ensures that the electronic records s/he is responsible for (primarily electronic clinical data records, also records of program activities) are accurate and up-to-date.
Reports to: M&E Manager
Supervise: No supervisory responsibilities in this position
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
· Enters clinical assessment data (and other program activity information) in electronic system.
· Double-checks electronic records as needed to make sure data is accurate and comprehensive.
· Works with clinical and/or M&E staff to address data issues (such as incomplete information or inconsistent data), including providing assistance to project staff to ensure accuracy of data
· Coordinates with monitoring and evaluation team to make sure reporting and other deadlines are met.
· Maintains archives of electronic clinical data records as needed.
· Ensures confidentiality of data in accordance with the Organization’s policies
· Assists with any other related activity as deemed necessary by the Monitoring & Evaluation Analyst, Research Department, and/or Country Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or related field
- At least 1 year of work experience in a data-related position and/or the nonprofit sector preferable.
- Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written); working knowledge of English (spoken and written)
- Good computer skills (in particular, MS office Word and Excel); knowledge of SPSS preferable
- Good numerical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organization skills (including ability to coordinate with large and/or remote team)
- Good communication and problem solving skills
- Team player and able to work independently
- Ability to work under time constraints
