Position: Senior Information Management Officer
Location: Amman
Reports to: Information Management Project Manager

Summary: Your role would be to support Medair’s information management processes. You will be expected to use your IM experience and technical capabilities to build on and improve data management processes for a variety of sectors, including health, WASH, and shelter, and M&E activities. On a day-to-day basis, you are involved in a variety of activities involving implementation of IM policies, data analysis, design and development of IM tools, report creation, and conducting IM training sessions.**

Responsibilities:

• Accountable For General Tasks Information Management
• Help implement and contribute to the Global Information Management Strategy
• Set standards for operational, geographical and population data. Maintain and distribute standards to IM colleagues and partner NGOs.
• Publish all deliverables through a formal approval process Data Analysis, Visualization, and M&E Reporting
• Use Qlik, DHIS2, ArcGIS, ODK and other relevant software to provide IM services in the form of electronic data collection forms, databases, and interactive dashboards.
• Produce automated reports for internal and external audiences
• Provide necessary documentation around all deliverables to ensure knowledge retention
• Pro-actively analyse data and advise users on the use and management of the data Data Protection and Automated Reporting
• Suggest and implement improvements to current systems based on new developments
• Work with all stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data and reports
• Implement beneficiary data protection protocols and tools Design & Development • Contribute to the development of new and innovative IM products and procedures
• Design and maintain an information-sharing platform used by multiple NGOs
• Contribute to the development of open-source platforms
• Design, build and maintain integrations between different IM system NGO capacity building
• Conduct and run IM workshops for NGOs
• Support in improving the data-literacy level within Medair and the NGO sector
• Collaborate with other NGOs on data sharing and joint analysis
• Travel outside of Jordan, primarily across the Middle East region, is involved (20-30%) Project Management Support
• Support in proposal writing and donor reporting
• Consult and advise on the development of the IM systems to meet programmes needs
• Assist in the coordination of incoming service and features requests
• Coordinate testing of new and updated IM deliverables Communication & Training
• Regular team communication and contribution
• Conduct and run IM training sessions and workshops on IM strategies, policies, tools for internal and external audiences

Role Qualifications:

• This is a national position and applicants should be legally able to work in Jordan
• We need Required Desirable Vocational qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject or equivalent professional / technical qualification
• Master’s degree in Computer Science
• Work experience Relevant professional experience working in an IM
• role with an international NGO (3 years) Experience with analytics, mapping, and data collection technology
• Previous NGO experience (5 years) Experience in computer programming Experience in GIS for 3 years
• Languages Good English (spoken and written)
• Excellent Arabic (spoken and written)
• Willingness to improve language skills, spoken and written IT Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Critical thinking and problem-solving ability Advanced data analytics (e.g., SQL, Qlik)
• Experience working with and improving data collection tools Advanced computer programming skills Server management experience
