Job title: Field Coordinator

Duty stations: Amman, Zarqa – Jordan

Contract period: 6 months

This position is for Jordanian Nationals only.

Project ref: Rihlat Amani (My journey to safety). Initiative to support the achievement of minimum protection standards for particularly vulnerable people among refugees and host communities in the governorates of Amman and Zarqa.

Project purpose:

Increase access to integrated mental health and protection services and provide services for the prevention and response to gender-based violence and on minors and people with disabilities in the Governorates of Amman and Zarqa. The project will facilitate training sessions on Protection, Gender, Mental Health, and Disability inclusion, in addition to facilitating after school programs for children in local community based organizations and boarding school centers.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an organized and experienced field coordinator to join our organization. The field coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the project in the field, and reporting on project progress. The position will also be responsible for tracking and evaluating the beneficiaries’ progress, and following up on needed actions for the project implemented in local community based organizations (CBO) and organizations for persons with disabilities (PDO).

The Field Coordinator main responsibilities are:

· Directing and supervising the development of the project work plan, the educational plan for the program, the weekly plan for educators and follow up on its implementation and reporting according to the monitoring and evaluation plan.

· Monitoring of attendance and absence logs, follow up and keep project files in the archives, assuring all educators and children attendance sheets are filled and signed on a daily basis.

· Daily monitoring of all project field related activities.

· Provide weekly and monthly reports to the program manager and academic supervisor, including reports of attendance and absence of students and educators.

· Supervise the project activities carried out within the PDOs and provide support to educators to participate in educational sessions and follow-up of the activities, and supervise the situation of social support sessions and life skills activities.

· General supervision of the reception, distribution and use of supplies and materials by educators and program employees.

· Coordinating with the project finance and admin officer all financial issues related to the local partner

· Supporting the administration with archiving and filing all project related documents

· Adhere to and administer organizational procedures regarding implementation, documentation and reporting of activities and progress under supervision of the Project Manager.

Qualifications of field coordinator

· At least 2 years of related experience performing required tasks, preferably in complex emergency or relief context.

· BA or BS in general management, business management, humanitarian work, or any related discipline.

· Strong knowledge of humanitarian services in non-governmental organizations.

· Solid experience with humanitarian field service delivery.

· Organized, self-paced, and self-motivated.

· Experience in the region and emergency settings.

· Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

· Strong verbal and written communications skills in Arabic and English languages.

· Ability to drive to the field activities independently by the organization’s car
