Each year millions of people around the world feel the effects of natural disaster and conflict. RedR is an international charity that improves the effectiveness of disaster relief, helping save and rebuild the lives of people affected by disaster worldwide. We do this by delivering essential training and support to relief organisations and their staff, and by supplying skilled professionals to humanitarian programmes.

RedR is seeking to appoint a pro-active and experienced Training Coordinator. The post-holder will be located in Amman, Jordan.

As a Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for designing and delivering the learning interventions which comprise RedR UK’s demand-led services. You will deliver face to face training, simulation exercises, consultancy, coaching and mentoring services, and you will contribute to the ongoing quality of our work through assessments of learning needs, adaptation and development of learning materials, and assessment of Associate Trainers.

Personal Specification:

Essential:

• 3 years experience as a trainer and facilitator
• At last 3 years direct and relevant experience in humanitarian field operations in MENA
• Expertise in adult learning theory and participatory learning methodologies
• Experience and knowledge of the training cycle including designing and conducting LNAs, design, delivery and evaluation of learning events
• Experience of assessment of learning
• Experience in the management of consultants, including effective cross-cultural communication and strong inter-personal skills
• Ability to represent RedR to external audiences, to a high standard
• Excellent workload management skills and ability to use initiative to solve problems
• Willingness to undertake travel internationally to often insecure and difficult environments for periods of up to 2 weeks
• Fluency in Arabic and the ability to deliver trainings in Arabic

Desirable:

• Technical expertise in security, logistics, or cash transfer programming
• Experience of coaching, mentoring, and online learning
• Experience of designing and delivering simulation exercises
