  JOB CONTEXT :

  HI Middle East Regional Programme coordinates missions in 4 different countries (Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine) for now. The programme is engaged in the second part of its StrateOp 2015 – 2019 with a massive growing of financial volumes on the last 2 years. The program is covering the full mandate of HI – emergency, mine action and development with a strong focus on continuum and resilience. The program has a total volume expected for 2018 of 11M Euros with 216 expatriates and national staff. Out of this, Jordan mission amounts for 4.2M euros and nearly 100 employees.

  YOUR MISSION:

  Within the regional support team, the Regional Finance Controller’s will provide essential financial support required for the implementation of the programme’s projects at the regional and missions levels regarding their financial and accounting management.

  Under the Regional Finance Coordinator line management (RFC), the RFCL will carry out the regional programme’s budget and account controls in such a way as to allow the effective and efficient implementation of its strategy within the organisational frameworks defined by Handicap International and provide the adapted support of the mission assigned according to their level of autonomy. The RF Controller will have an assigned portfolio missions.

  Responsibility 1: Carry out management of assigned mission’s budget and funding

  Responsibility 2: Manage donor contracts on the assigned missions

  Responsibility 3: Manage Partner financial aspects

  Responsibility 4: Ensures the assigned mission’s finance management closure

  Responsibility 5: Ensures the assigned mission’s cash-flow management

  Responsibility 6: Facilitate the coordination of finance unit within the regional programme

  YOUR PROFILE :

• You hold a degree in Finance, Administration or any other relevant field
• You have at least 1 year of experience in accounting and finance management
• You have good analytical and conceptual skills
• You demonstrate good communication skills
• You have capacity to work under pressure and you are a dynamic and solution-oriented person

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION :

Despite the different conflicts affecting the overall Middle East regional, the security in Jordan is still fairly good. In Amman, despite some sporadic demonstrations the living conditions are excellent with little restrictions. Jordanians are very welcoming and life for foreigners is generally quite comfortable. Expect minimum standards of respect and adaptation to the local culture and traditions.

CONDITIONS:

• Volunteer status, according to experience :
• Volunteering allowances : 1000€ (net)
• Perdiem allowances : 588 € (net)
• Insurances: health coverage, planning, repatriation, retirement (if senior volunteer).
• Paid holiday : 25 days per year
• R&R : Level 1 : 1 day per month
• Status : position open to couples
