Human Resources Manager

 Syrian humanitarian crisis began in 2011, with over a quarter million killed, roughly the same number wounded or missing, and half of Syria’s 22 million population displaced from their homes. (Andrew Tabler, 2015). As a result of this, Auranitis Life Line was founded by Syrian youth volunteers. Auranitis is a neutral, impartial and independent organization.

It works in times of war and peace. Focus on humanitarian work in accordance with international humanitarian law, as mentioned in the 1949 Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols. Further, Auranitis is committed to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent seven fundamental principles. Human is Auranitis main priority, so we choose him as a symbol in our logo.

We are in Auranitis aiming for improving his abilities and providing him with the main life needs to live a decent life.

The Role:

Auranitis Life Line is looking for a highly qualified Human Resources Manager for its Jordan – Amman office who will lead on HR assessments, HR strategy, coordinate recruitment, develop robust systems, policy and practice on people management in a complex emergency across the whole Syria and Jordan Offices

Responsibilities:

Technical:

· Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.

· Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.

· Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.

· Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.

· Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.

· Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.

· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

· Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

· Maintains human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

· Maintains human resource staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

Administrative:

· Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.

· Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource country requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.

· Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.

Qualifications

· Master Degree or minimum Bachelor’s degree in Human Recourses, Business administration or related field

· Minimum five or more years related experience and/or training as an HR manager.

· Minimum two years’ experience working with international organizations / NGOs

· Minimum two years’ USAID program experience

· Highly competent in computers and MS Office

· Understanding of budget and cost control management

· Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills essential
