PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The gender co-facilitator will support our work to integrate gender equality principles in a security sector project. The selected candidate will support the Gender Advisor in delivering gender training for security officers to promote Gender Sensitivity and have experience in conducting exercises and engaging with government officials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Lead Facilitator in delivering gender awareness sessions.
  • Support the Lead facilitator on designing gender sessions.
  • Provide support in drafting the training material.
  • Provide an after-action report pre and post-delivery.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential

  • Excellent communication and partnership skills.
  • Respect for diversity and integrity.
  • Professionalism.
  • Awareness and sensitivity regarding Gender issues.
  • Conflict Management.
  • Arabic native speaker with fluency in English.
  • Understanding of security sector reform work

Desirable

  • Higher Diploma (or equivalent) in gender, statistics, or other relevant social sciences studies.
  • At least 5-7 years of professional work experience at national or international level in gender mainstreaming.
