Institutional Partnership Development (IPD) Advisor

Institutional Partnership Development (IPD) Advisor
Location: Amman, Jordan
Tasks and Responsibilities
Project implementation
- Provide support to the MAs and PSAs in management of projects in Middle East MAs with due respect to donor requirements and SOS CVIs regulations and standards;
- Organise and conducting projects related meetings virtually and face to face (e.g. Facilitation of partnership exchanges e.g. kick-off meeting, review meetings, monitoring visits etc.)
- Review on regular basis projects details, deliverables and schedules as per project Implementation Plan and support MAs in developing projects yearly action plans;
- Provide support to key project staff and stakeholders in reaching project strategic objectives and results;
- Develop and oversee projects monitoring system, using data analysis as the basis for measuring performance;
- Communicate on a regular basis with the project’s lead applicant and support MAs in reporting on the project’s progress;
- Support MAs in preparation of the final reports on time, in quality manner as per donor requirements;
- Ensure wide dissemination and visibility of projects achievements;
- Coordinate usage of the ProDigi for the project implementation.
Knowledge Management**
- Facilitate and document learning across all aspects of projects to inform planning and decision-making;
- Outline good practices as well as common challenges in projects;
- Hold Onboarding programs for new Project management plus further develop content and keep up to date;
- Builds the capacity of SOS MAs and regional counterparts’ in the field of project cycle management and result-based management
- Provide support papers as well as foster best practice sharing in the respective field of work.
Acquisition
- Collecting donor intelligence and disseminating it among MAs and IOR;
- Screening institutional funding opportunities and matching them with the organizational needs;
- Steers, initiates, supports and guides SOS MAs in applying to adequate institutional funding opportunities (be it national / regional or international grants) in order to increment local income of SOS MAs if needed Developing internal processes, support-papers and tools related to institutional funding
Human Resource support
Hold job interviews of short listed candidates for position of Project managers if needed;
- Hold feedback talks in the frame of the HR cycle of Project managers;
- Support professional and personal development of projects staff;
- In line with SOS CVIs standards for leadership framework provide functional leadership for projects staff.
Requirements
- University degree in economics, management or social sciences (Master degree in relevant field would be an advantage);
- At least 5 years of experience in management of development cooperation projects; work experience with NGO will be a plus.
- Significant experience of working in the development context;
- Experience in finance, operations and team management;
- Experience in Project Cycle Management;
- Knowledge of procurement standards and regulations of Development Cooperation Agencies Practice in community development, consultation and partnership development;
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft suite;
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic language
