JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
The International Center for Not-for-Profit Law, tic-MENA Office based in Amman-Jordan (ICNL LLC-MENA) is seeking to employ a Full-Time Financial Officer in Amman, Jordan as follows:
Responsibilities:
Maintain ICNL LLC Jordan accounting system and financial records:
Ensure that expenditures are in accordance with:
-Jordanian accounting standards and financial regulations
-ICNL LLC policies, and US laws and regulations.
Supervise timely payment of all invoices
Administer payroll accounts and calculate taxes on payroll;
Prepare and file local taxes in compliance with Jordanian laws;
Maintain ICNL LLC bank accounts in Jordan;
Track petty cash flow;
Prepare monthly finance reports for review by ICNL Lie Washington DC office, and other reports as requested;
Assist in developing project forecasts and budgets for proposals as requested;
Review financial reports submitted by ICNL LLC-MENA sub-grantees and partners;
Review travel forms and advance requests prepared by staff;
Assist in managing contract of services, procurement of goods, bidding, and selection.
Coordinate with auditors in preparing financial report for ICNL LLC Jordan every year.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
University degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
2-5 years previous experience in accounting
Computer proficiency
Knowledge of Jordanian accounting standards
Fluent Arabic and English language skills and
Knowledge of the QuickBooks accounting software.
Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail;
Knowledge of US government funding rules and regulations.
