Eligibility criteria

Candidate age: between 18 and 29 throughout the entire duration of their assignment. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of country compliance officer, the International UN Youth Volunteer will:

• Review bank accounts reconciliations including review of the process of the monthly replenishments;
• Conduct monthly post facto review to various service contracts;
• prepare periodic in-depth reviews of imprest account management and related expenditure;
• Review and ensure that all contractual documents are in compliance with WHO rules and regulations;
• Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent

Education – Additional Comments:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, Business Administration or other related fields;

Required experience: 1 year

Experience remark:

• Demonstrated interest and/or experience (up to 1 year) in (finance, accounts compliance and audit review experience
• Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills;
• Willingness to contribute and work as part of a team;
• Flexible and open to learning and new experiences;
• Respect for diversity and adaptability to other cultures, environments and living conditions;
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic is required;
• Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture, (i.e. studies, volunteer work, internship) would be highly regarded;
• Computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media, and others).

Language skills:

• English(Mandatory), Level – Fluent
• Arabic(Mandatory), Level – Fluent
