Currently operating cross-cutting programs providing humanitarian response and protection as well as empowerment of Women’s Rights and enabling youth civic and political participation. The Role

ActionAid Arab Region is currently seeking a consultant who has extensive experience in Advocacy and Campaigning in Amman, Jordan, to deliver the following tasks.

• Lead the development of ActionAid Arab Region advocacy and campaigning strategies at national and regional levels.
• Conduct research and analysis of relevant policy issues and related context at the national and regional levels regarding ActionAid Arab Region.
• Lead the development of positions, advocacy strategies and tactics, briefing papers, statements, opinion pieces and other outreach and policy products.
• Conduct related stakeholder analysis prior to the design of the campaigns and the development of the strategies to be reflected and included accordingly.
• Design full advocacy campaigns action plans to achieve the goals and the objective of the designed campaigns.

  The Candidate

  To qualify for this exciting role at ActionAid Arab Region you will bring:

• Seven to ten years of experience in Advocacy and campaigning in local, regional and/or international NGO or social movement, preferably in youth and gender issues.
• Superb Arabic and English writing skills, for the development of the required deliverables.
• Demonstrated deep knowledge of the social and political context in Jordan, as well as fair knowledge and understanding of regional context.
• Familiar with the Human-Rights based approach and ability to integrate it in the design of the strategies and campaigns at all levels.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills to transfer the knowledge to ActionAid relevant team members.
