Position Title: Livelihood Project Officer
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Livelihood project officer will be responsible for implementation of the RDPP project and will engage/support and coach the target group on economic and non-economic topics like development, livelihood, resilience, protection, gender, mental health, etc. The individual will be responsible for helping the refugees and affected host community to improve their wellbeing by identifying and reporting about their needs, mobilizing them into groups and helping them identify market opportunities and skills gaps, improving their general skills such as planning, basic employment, self-employment, entrepreneurship meanwhile administering the components of the project which include collecting information and providing input for the project design.Major Responsibilities:
Major Responsibilites:
· Implement project activities in accordance with the project guidelines and targets
(Community mobilization, identifying income generation opportunities)
· Coordinate activities between target group, specialists, local actors and available resources
· Support the quality control means provided by the line manager, and ensure the reporting about capacity gaps
· Gather and report marketplace information, communicate organization message to the communities.
· Manage target group expectations by setting participatory action plans, risk analysis and long term milestones
· Attend and participate in Monthly and annual workshops organized by WV Jordan
· Perform other duties as required
Education:
· University diploma related to social sciences and/or commercial fields (economics, business administration, marketing, psychology, social work)
Experience:
· 2 years of experience in private sector or consultancy companies
Knowledge & Skills:
Proven ability and experience in communicating a common vision among diverse partners
Experience working in volunteering or internships
Experience in organizing capacity building activities
Experience in translation and reporting
Fluency in English and Arabic languages
Learning behavior
Strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of refugees’ context in Jordan is desirable
Intermediate skills in MS office (Power point, excel, word
Training delivery experience
Experience in Self-employment or business startup
Experience in Micro Finance and banking
