About Us:
Project Tarjim is a translation services portal which offers individuals and businesses excellent translation services using native-language professionals from all around the world who strive to offer the highest quality of translated documents. Our aim is to provide companies and individuals the finest quality of translation services with high speed.
Project Tarjim is seeking to establish long term agreements with qualified freelancers for Translation services for several languages. Mainly (French, German, Chinses, Spanish, Russian).
Contracted by: Project Tarjim
Position: Freelance Translator
Duty station: Amman/task based
Period: Long Term Agreement
Contract type: Freelance
Our ideal candidate:
The candidates should have a thorough knowledge, understanding and familiarity with their chosen language’s culture, and have an ability to express thoughts clearly and concisely in both targeted languages. In addition to technical writing skills and a decent command in in the target language(s)
Responsibilities:
– Ability to write well and adhere to a given framework.
– Convert concepts in the source language to equivalent concepts in the target language
– Compile information and technical terms into glossaries and terminology databases to be used in their oral renditions and translations
– Speak, read, and write fluently in at least two languages.
– Relay the style and tone of the original language
– Render written messages accurately, quickly, and clearly
– Apply their cultural knowledge to render an accurate and meaningful translation of the original message
Specific qualifications and requirements
– Bachelor’s Degree in Translation
– Advanced experience in translation
– Certifications and accreditations
– Excellent writing skills of the language(s) they interpret.
– Excellent multitasking skills
– Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
– Team player
– Good time-management skills
