Safety Inspector

الوصف الوظيفي

Strategic Duties

  • Maintain safety presence at the workplaces by performing daily site inspections on all work locations as assigned and coordinate with first line supervisors to apply Safety requirements and submit inspection report on a daily basis.
  • Protecting APC employees by making sure that risks at the workplace are properly controlled and provide suggestion on ways to eliminate these risks based on experience and ensure workplaces are not a cause of illness and/or injury.

Job Summary

  • Implement the Annual Safety Inspection Plan in the workplaces and report all unsafe conditions and at risk behavior, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Inspects equipment’s, tools, and working conditions to ensure safety of employees.
  • Conduct Job Hazard assessment in all work places with continues monitoring.
  • Issue reports requesting corrective actions, and replacement of tools & equipment’s that don’t meet safety requirements.
  • Provide training and educational support for employees.
  • Investigates accidents to determine causes and formulate preventive measures.
  • Follow up safety precautions before & during plants or units shutdowns and ensure compliance, coordinate and report any intervene to stop violations and issue reports of such.
  • Ensure safety precautions for confined spaces and test working areas for noise, toxicity, and other hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with PPEs by employees in the workplaces and that are appropriate to prevent incidents, and report any violations.
  • Inspect safety requirements for cold works including excavation, dismantling, dangerous equipment transport, and marine works and ensure permits are used and report any violations.
  • Inspect the safety guards installed at all rotary Equipment and report of any deviation from specifications that may cause hazards.
  • Inspect electrical safety requirements at all workplaces and ensure safety tools are certified and used effectively and provide on job training to users.
  • Perform other related duties as required by Safety inspection section head.

 Job requirements

  • BSc. Degree in OH & Safety Preferred, Minimum Technical Diploma in industrial field
  • At least 5 years’ experience in similar position
  • Completed one of the following Certificates requirement successfully
  • OSHA 30 hours
  • IOSH
  • NEBOSH  
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skilled
  • Working with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work under high pressure
  • Good in English language
  • Excellent Computer skills
  • Safety Awareness and commitment

Projects Management & Contracting Manager

Strategic Duties

Under the direct supervision of Projects and Development Director, the PM&C Manager will provide leadership and direction to project management and contracting team to develop and maintain project management methodologies, standards and tools that will be applied across Projects and Development Directorate to ensure successful delivery of projects executed by the directorate. Responsible for leading and managing the efforts to create necessary workflows and timelines; while also monitoring performance and adjusting timelines and schedules.

PM&C Manager will be responsible for VP Operation’s Capital Budget ensuring all AFEs are issued, expenditure follow up, monthly capital budget review, new capital budget preparation, and development of long term capital budget plan aligned with organizational strategic goals.

Job Summary

  • Adhere to project management standards and policies to deliver successful projects.
  • Understands business needs and ensures projects are scoped and initiated in collaboration with Internal Stakeholders and other support functions.
  • Establish project plans, schedules, delivery estimates, resource plans and status reports.
  • Identify and anticipate risks while formulating solutions to mitigate risks and facilitating resolution.
  • Handle project plans, landmarks, dependencies, critical paths, contingencies, scope, budget, and other key project activities.
  • Execute standard methodologies, archive project experience/lessons learned, to improve project management methods and governance.
  • Create project dashboard, to outline both the projects currently underway and those on the backlog, with their priority according to the overall business objectives.
  • Develop effective communication processes to inform stakeholders and cross-organizational teams about project progress, roadmaps and key deliverables.
  • Manages Project stakeholders for the duration of the project to achieve smooth implementation and quick realization of benefits.
  • Prepares presentations and other documentation which simplify complex and technical content, tailors content and approach to suit target audience.
  • Manage changes against project schedule, scope and cost, as well as lead the assessment of impact on delivery and budget.

Job requirements

  • BS. Engineering /Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years in a related field of Project Management.
  • Excellent in MS Projects is a plus.
  • PMP certificate. / M.S. Engineering/Science is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (English & Arabic).
  • Working with minimal supervision
  • Good in English language.
  • Computer skills.

Emergency & Fire Junior Technician

Job Summary

  • Follows up as 24/7 the Fire Safety activates in coordination with APC civil defense and prepare daily reports for that.
  • Inspect fire safety systems, Equipment’s and tools in the workplaces, refill the used portable fire extinguishers and redistribute them.
  • Participation in fire and evacuation drills and other emergencies as per plan, and ensure that it is applied effectively through the Plants.
  • Monitoring of any signal or trouble Appears on addressable fire alarm workstation screen, and record any observed technical problem in the Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Quarterly maintenance, Inspection, & refilling of the portable fire extinguishers at all APC Plants, Township & vehicles.
  • Washing power poles insulators usually before every winter & when needed upon Electrical Maintenance request.
  • Following up maintenance works for Automatic Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, fire sprinklers systems, Hydrant Points & Hose Reels.
  • Conduct periodic check on Fire Pumps, Electrical Pump, Jockey Pump & Diesel Pump to keep the optimal performance on the ring main fire system.
  • Disabling of Automatic fire suppression systems in electrical substation upon request, to conduct maintenance work & Restarting of the system after finishing the work.
  • Implementation of weekly fire pump test, annual water flow performance, curve & hydrant loop tests.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports for all transactions & activities regarding his job and section.
  • Comply with safety, housekeeping and environmental requirements.
  • Performing other jobs-related duties as assigned by the fire Forman & Section head.

Job requirements

  • Preferred Diploma degree in Mechatronics, Electromechanical or Fire.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Crisis & emergency management skill.
  • Knowledge of National Building Codes for Firefighting & alarm Systems Requirements.
  • Knowledge of NFPA /National Fire Protection Association requirements and Standards.
  • Age not more than 35 years.
  • Ability to work under high pressure.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Working with minimal supervision
  • Good in English language.
  • Good Computer skills.
