Position Summary: DT Global is implementing a contract supporting USAID programs in the MENA region. Reporting to the National Conveyor Project Management Unit (NCPMU) Director and working with others in the unit, the Financial Specialist will handle all the financial issues related to the Aqaba to Amman Water Desalination and Conveyance Project (AAWDCP).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess the project financial affairs and ensure abiding with the financial and legal requirements.
• Develop and maintain financial information systems which identify the issues related to the project finance, budgeting, and accounting.
• Participate in reviewing the submitted financial proposals from the potential shortlisted international companies in cooperation with the consultant and all other concerned parties and make the necessary recommendations.
• Report at regular intervals on the financial state of affairs and progress made towards realization of the project objectives and finance.
• Review and recommend on the cash flow projections and invoicing.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and as per international financial slandered and practices, on all financial information and submit regular reports to the Director of NCPMU
• Examine, prepare, and verify financial information as part of MWI’s responsibilities towards the potential project company and any other related stakeholder
• Recommend the development of project financial procedures and manuals needed to comply with the contract and with international best practices.
• Coordinate and cooperate with all concerned stakeholders to achieve the Project financial outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Minimum Qualifications:

• 15 years of professional experience with strong financial, accounting and budgeting background in mega projects. Experience in BOT projects is preferred
• Strong ability to develop, assess and analyze financial reports and statements
• Strong sense for exploring innovative ideas
• Team-worker with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluency in Arabic and English writing and oral communication skills
