Chief Accountant, Jordan

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly and weekly financial reports and statements to Managers for review.
Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
Recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions and events in accordance with accepted local accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations (Banks, customers and vendors) and journal entries.
Computation and payment of staff salaries on a monthly basis and social security payments.
Follow up with tax specialist for any withholding and corporate taxes.
Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
Evaluate computerized accounting systems (SAP and Mozon) and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.
Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management.
Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely basis.

Qualifications:

More than 6 years’ exp. in Accounting
BA in finance or accounting degree.
Proficient in MS Office, with advanced excel skills and ERP Systems preferable SAP system
Ability to travel To Iraq
