MillerMusmar International is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MillerMusmar CPAs, which is an award-winning CPA firm located in Reston, Virginia that provides accounting, tax, assurance, and management advisory services. We are looking for Senior Auditor to execute the day-to-day activities of assurance engagements of various clients.

Overview

The Senior Auditor will be working directly with the US office to support various assurance projects. You’ll help our clients meet their reporting requirements by accurately reporting on financial statements and providing meaningful insights into accounting and reporting matters. You should be an organized professional with strong technical and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with our clients and staff. You will need to be able to multi-task as planning, executing, and wrapping up various engagements may have to be performed concurrently. The ability to perform research on technical matters is essential. You should clearly demonstrate proficiency in evaluating and testing internal controls and in applying risk-based audit skills.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the day-to-day activities of audit engagements of various clients

• Work independently or as a member of a team depending on the engagement

• Perform and document audit procedures in accordance with professional standards

• Analyze accounting transactions and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Prepare financial statements with required disclosures

• Manage multiple engagements and time effectively

• Identify performance improvement opportunities

• Communicate Audit findings and recommendations for testing performed

• Perform special assignments as directed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of current audit experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university

• CPA or a CPA candidate

• Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures

• Ability to meet challenging client requirements and to provide services while possessing strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research abilities

• Demonstrated supervisory experience

• Excellent communication skills required; fluent in English
