An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Aircraft Catering Company. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring activities at the airside and landside QACC facilities and locations ensuring that all employees, external suppliers and operators adhere to and implement QACC safety standards. Conducting frequent safety audits to highlight safety issues and concerns for further / corrective action. Ensure QACC infrastructure and facilities are in a safe and orderly condition and are compliant with national and catering standards and legislation. The role will be to monitor and analyses safety practices in day-to-day QACC operations, raising safety awareness across QACC business. Data gathered from regular checks will be compiled, analyzed and summarized to identify trends and presented to the safety officer.

Conducting thorough and regular inspections and safety audits across QACC locations, reporting any deficiencies and/or damaged areas, items or unsafe conditions/hazards

Conduct fault / deficiency reporting to ensure that all faults or deficiencies are reported, tracking progress of rectification and corrective action to ensure deficiencies are resolved in a timely manner

Regularly inspect fire gadgets at QACC facilities and coordinate servicing requirements with Maintenance team/safety. Conduct fire safety inspections to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and legislation. Report and escalate areas of concern

Respond to emergency situations as directed by radio, telephone or observation

Submit written reports/records and input accident reports into Group safety accident management systems when required to do so

Ensure compliance with HIA safety standards

Prepare daily activity reports, accident/incident/near-miss reports, faulty/deficiency reports

Support in staff safety training, helping raise awareness and the promotion of a safe culture across all QACC locations

Support all business partners , both internal and external for all safety related matters

Ability to communicate proficiently in English both verbally and in writing

Good computer literacy, administration and office skills

Good knowledge of catering operations, policies and procedures, warehouse operation, policies and procedures

A good understanding of CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) regulations

Ability to read, understand and interpret ordinances, laws and operating procedures, coordinate emergency situations and to respond appropriately

Training background on fire fighting and operations of firefighting equipment
-
Attended training on First Aid application

NEBOSH IGC, safety qualification
