A national NGO is looking for an Accountant
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner .
Records journal entries and general ledger account entries based on Taghyeer’ s accounting system to ensure that all the transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner .
Ensures all invoices’ amount are entered accurately in the accounting records
Maintains the financial records and any related records to ensure accuracy of the financial transactions
Reconciles all banks accounts with the records and entries on a monthly basis or as requested from the financial manager and reports discrepancies (if any) to ensure that accuracy in data and in banks accounts
Collects the required information and prepares monthly financial reports for each of Taghyeer’ s projects to ensure all the required information is captured for budgeting purposes
Reviews the payroll data and list to ensure accuracy of the finances and that the wire transfer letters, payroll cheques and social security are prepared accurately on a timely manner
Assists external and Internal Financial auditors as per need to provide them with all required financial data and information
Prints approved payment cheques to vendors, service provider, internal payments in the required time frame and ensures the correct signatures are obtained
Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or any related field
Knowledge: Accounting principle
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting with preferably 1 or more years of experience in NGO and accounting software
Skills:
English Level 4
IT and computer literacy Skills – Proficient
Communication Skills – Basic
Data Collection and Analysis – Proficient
Budgeting and Cost Control Skills – Proficient
Full Known – QuickBooks System.
