Duties and responsibilities:
Receiving documentations from Field Accountants and making sure from their accuracy from the formal and procedural side and matching them with the policies and requirements of the donors.
making sure that all the payments are properly charged to the project and coded according to the system and Adding the necessary cost centres to system once we got new projects.
The preparation of payrolls and allocate them fairly on all donors based on the master budget.
Preparing and allocating the shared costs as fair allocation of all donors based on the master budget.
Preparing and sending the financial reports to the donors and following up the comments with the donors.
Ensure that financial and narrative reporting meets donor requirements, quality standards and is submitted in compliance with donor reporting deadlines.
Develop and provide reporting templates to relevant teams, ensure use of consistent templates.
Train staff on tools and templates, and donor regulations, as required.
The coordination with the programs and procurements departments in preparing of implementation plans to prepare the necessary fund requests.
Following up the fund with the donors to provide the necessary liquidity to ensure that the projects are running smoothly.
Participate in preparing budget proposal, projection, modification request (NCE+CE).
Chart of account maintenance Periodically to satisfy the donor and administration requirements in order to help them making decisions.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance Management, Business administration or any equivalent educational background. Master is desirable.
CMA, CBA, CFA certificates are desirable
At least 3 years of Finance experience, preferably in NGO, Non-profit sectors
Humanitarian work Experience for at least 2 years, preferably in the Syrian context
Very good English Language skills (Written and spoken)
Very good Computer skills, MS Office Package especially MS Excel.
Excellent knowledge of Accounting Software (Alameen, Quick Box)
Able to work under pressure and a team player
