Finance Grants Officer (Female)
Solidarity Is Global Institute – SIGI Jo is hiring a Finance Grants Officer (Female) to manage the below duties. SIGI – Jo is a civil society organization established in 1998 concerned with human rights and women’s rights in particular.
Responsibilities
Financial Statements and reports
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual – as needed according to reporting agreements with donors-projects financial reports.
• Prepare final projects financial report statements to present to the donors and project’s external auditors
Bookkeeping (related to projects implemented by SIGI)
• Coordinate closely with project management team to ensure adherence to technical and financial work pan
• Control expenses, issue payments and prepare all payment and journal vouchers
• Audit expenses and the supporting documents for all financial transactions and assure adherence with the financial policies and procedures
• Prepare a filing system for all financial supporting documents according to the internal policies and procedures in addition to donors’ requirements
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Manage all accounts receivable and payable
• Reconcile accounts receivable and payable
• Ensure compliance of accounting book and reports with IAS and IFRS
Budgeting
• Support the fundraising department through working on the budgeting of the proposal, and financial requirements as per agreement with donors
• Maintain projects’ related fixed assets register for auditing purposes
Requirements:
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-3 years of relevant experience, experience in working with NGOs/Development organizations is a must
• Excellent English Language
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office programs)
• Knowledge of Accounting Systems “ALFA System is a plus”
