MDS Technical Support Engineer

Description
Job Purpose:
Responsible for providing technical support for MDS customers to maintain the customer service SLA, and network KPI’s and ensure customers’ satisfaction and optimum network and service availability.
Responsibilities:
- Handle MDS IP access and core network technical support
- Handle MDS Transmission, access and links technical support
- Manage MDS Network documentations
- Support switches and routers in Umniah datacenter and sites
- Handle monitoring and proactive support
- Provide second and third level support for broadband customer remotely or on site
- Achieve the agreed SLA with the customers regarding the resolution time and response time
- perform operations with the network and the customers
Requirements
Education: Bachelor Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or other related filed
Work Experience: 0 – 3 years
Certificates: CCNA, Networking.
Knowledge Of:
- Different cables insulation and maintenance
- Basics IP Networking (IP address and Vlans), Basic Network devices configuration.
- Help desk and ticketing systems tools
- Umniah Products and Services
Skills In:
- Service Management: Service activation tools and techniques, Service platforms installation and integration, Service platforms management (upgrade, scale, backup, maintain etc.)
- Transmission Network Planning: Transmission Network Infrastructure and Technologies
- Network Installation and Provisioning:Network Equipment Installation and Configuration, Power Equipment Installation and Configuration, Network Equipment Testing and Activation
- Good command of English language speaking and writing
- Good command of MS office
