General description of the position
You’ll have taking an active part in the Coordination team, the Field Coordinator for the Irbid base ensures sound and transparent management of the programs and teams in Irbid governorate by ensuring compliance to all technical and support department Action Against Standards, consistency with local legislation, to enable qualitative implementation of our activities and delivery of timely and relevant assistance to the beneficiaries.
Main responsabilities
In particular, you’ll have to :
1. Coordinate ACTION AGAINST HUNGER country strategy implementation at field level
2. Coordinate overall implementation of program at field level
3. Manage the team at field level
4. Facilitate good relationships with the team in capital
5. Represent ACTION AGAINST HUNGER and liaise with regional authorities, UN, NGOs at field level
6. Ensure reporting, capitalization and contribute to quality and accountability
7. Ensure security management of the base
Do you fit the requested profile ?
You have a Master’s degree or equivalent and at least 3 years’ experience with humanitarian NGO, with at least 2 year in a managerial role, previous ACF experience would be an advantage
Technically , you have :
– A substantial knowledge of standard logistics, financial and HR procedures and practices as well as knowledge regarding programme management on the field, a substantial knowledge of security management
– Computer and communication equipment skills
– Interpersonal, organizational, multitasking and communication skills and a high capacity of work, able to overcome stress and work under pressure, with high degree of flexibility, challenges-seeker with high degree of flexibility and autonomy
Integrity, diplomacy, enthousiasm and professionalism
Organized and self-motivating, as well as diplomatic & tactful, professional & transparent
Fluent in English / Arabic a plus
Work context
Jordan mission is a dynamic mission rapidly growing ; with large scale WaSH and Livelihoods projects being implemented in host communities and refugees camp, Mental Health sector is being now developed. Country strategy combines emergency and development projects to address needs of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanian in an holistic approach. With a team of 12 international employees and more than 90 national colleagues, ACF Jordan office manages a portfolio of projects for more than 9 millions €, in response to the Syria crisis in Northern and Eastern Jordan. The donors range vary from institutional funds (UNICEF / MADAD) to bilateral agreements (AFD / GIZ / Taiwan).
To support the 2 operational bases, the coordination office is based in Amman.
Jordan is considered as a stable country where security conditions enable a safe implementation of the projects.
