Jusoor is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to support our Jusoor-Amal scholars. The Coordinator aims to encourage student success at university and works in cooperation with Jusoor’s Head of Research, Development & Scholarships. To date, the fund has provided eight undergraduate scholarships to students studying at Al Zarqa University.

Responsibilities

• Arrange monthly meetings for the students to gather and share their progress at university and in their work in Za’atari Camp
• Facilitate and support communication between students, universities, and Jusoor during enrollment processes and throughout the school year
• Coordinate administrative meetings as necessary with university officials at the beginning of each semester to ensure smooth enrollment processes
• Manage informal check-in sessions in the form of informal Arabic-English language exchange meetings with students as often as their schedule allows, and report back to Jusoor about the wellbeing of students and any issues
• Meet monthly with Jusoor to review student progress and brainstorm ideas for new scholarship fund activities
• Maintain highly responsive communication with the students via the established Whatsapp group and with Jusoor via e-mail

Qualifications

• Dedicated to Jusoor’s mission
• Fluent in Arabic and English
• Proficient in Google Docs and Sheets
• Superior organization and time management skills
