This role is responsible for monitoring day-to-day operations and supervises all production process (three line). Responsible for direct supervision of production workers . Ensures areas of responsibilities meet plant standards for safety, quality,efficiency and cost efficiency.
15% Safety Risk Management

Executes day-to-day operations, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed Safety.

Partners/collaborates with EHS and FSQR experts to implement the most effective approach for complying with corporate safety policies and procedures.

Completes safety inspections and housekeeping audits.
50% Operational/Reliability Excellence /Continous Improvement

Executes and monitors day-to-day operations for all production processes within all shifts

Directly supervises daily operations of assigned area to achieve production throughput requirements including work flow, job assignments, scheduling, & shift coverage.

Actively measures performance and implements leading common practices to promote operational efficiencies (i.e. yield optimization, energy/water usage reductions, etc).

Collaborates with engineering & maintenance to develop approaches for meeting/tracking efficiency standards

To optimize and implement the OGSM and create a Continuous Improvement environment in order to attain targets in Production , EHS, Service, Quality, Cost Control and Engagement
15% Customer Focus /Innovation / Quality Management

Directly monitors production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications.

Documents and investigates quality data issues that occur and compiles recommendations for improvement for review by Ops Manager

Supports customer relationship by meeting business objectives and by understanding how operational performance impacts internal/external customers.
20% People Management
-
Supervises and provides basic coaching to production workers, including coaching Cargill’s core values.

Assists in planning for future production workforce needs and participates in selection of employees.

Accountable for production talent development and engagement within production

Responsible for training and on boarding new/transferred employees as well as workforce engagement, recognition & development

Applies disciplinary actions when needed.
Minimum Required
Education
-
Tertiary Education : Bachelor Degree in Engineering or (food) science,
Experience
-
3-5 years experience in manufacturing
-
Previous exposure to production environment

Experience in leading a team of individuals
Preferred
Experience

Team Leader / Supervisory Experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience in MES , Scada and SAP systems
-
Experience relating OSH ACT and EHS Standards
Skills

Working knowledge of production, ideally with the agricultural industry
