Field Assistant (paid)

Right To Play fights to overcome the effects of poverty, conflict, and disease in disadvantaged communities through the power of play to educate and empower children. Established in 2006, Right To Play Jordan targets the country’s most marginalized areas in providing quality education, peaceful communities, and health practices. RTP believes that children not only need access to food, water, and shelter, but that an adequate childhood requires fruitful education and opportunities that actively engaging children to interact with one another is essential. Moreover, women and girls living in refugee camps and in host communities need support in the provision of psychosocial and physical health, education, child protection, peacebuilding, and leadership. Right to Play Jordan currently has offices in Amman, Zarqa, Irbid, and Aqaba and reaches more than 70,000 Jordanian, Syrian, and Palestinian beneficiaries in camps and host communities.
Right to Play Jordan is currently launching the ‘Sustaining Rehabilitation through Upcycling, Art, and Play’ project in primary and secondary schools in Amman, Jersah, and Zarqa. We are seeking two Assistant Facilitators to support the project with the following tasks:
● Coordinating with logistics, finance, and program staff to ensure activities are implemented in a timely manner
● Assist in conducting management meetings, student parliament upcycling art initiatives, and coordinating with school stakeholders
● Organize training logistics of venue, refreshments, and transportation
● Support with monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and documentation
● Submitting financial expenditure reports
RTP is seeking an Assistant Facilitator that has the following qualifications/qualities:
● Strong interpersonal skills to work with finance, logistics, and MEAL staff
● Strong interpersonal skills and familiarity with working in East Amman, Irbid, and Zarqa
● Strong writing and reporting skills (in English)
● Previous experience in construction, art, upcycling, rehabilitation, and/or education
● Previous experience in project design and development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and/or reporting
● Previous experience with communications
● Experience in working with google drive, Microsoft Word and Excel (desired)
● Pro-active, hardworking, and able to work efficiently under tight deadlines
HOW TO APPLY:
This position needs to be filled immediately and applications will be received and reviewed on a rolling basis. Please note that this is a paid Assistant position for 400 JOD monthly. The selected candidate is expected to have a driver’s license and independently drive to schools in East Amman, Irbid, and Zarqa on a weekly basis. He/she will be supervised by a Project Officer.
