Position Title: Field Monitor

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Field Monitor will be responsible for monitoring of the SWM IBVs’ attendance and compliance with the agreed work-plan and deliverables in the field. He/she will supervise the IBVs during the performance of Behavioral change communication (BCC) and Litter Picking (LP) activities in the camp ensuring that IBVs attendance is recorded and they are following assigned tasks daily. He/she will be responsible for maintaining WVJ processes and procedures related to the recording IBVs attendance and monitoring of their performance. He/she will be responsible for the distribution of tools and materials to IBVs to perform their BCC and LP tasks and maintain the distribution records. The position will also support the Field Coordinator in the day to day project operation in the camp.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitoring of BCC/LP activities in the field:

· Monitoring the BCC/LP activities on a daily basis to ensure that the planned tasks are delivered by IBVs following the agreed daily work plan and schedule.**

· Ensure all the required materials and tools are available for the BCC/LP activities. **

· Supervise the BCC/LP IBVs and ensure the standards operation procedures are in place during the operation in the field.**

· Ensure that IBVs are following WVJ and the camp safety, CP and other policies and procedures.**

· Ensure all IBVs related records in the field are updated on daily basis**

2. Distribution and follow up of daily tasks and work-plans to IBVs

· Ensure that IBVs are having daily work-plans and tasks, distributed on timely basis in coordination with the line manager /supervisors.**

· Ensure that accomplishment of daily tasks and attendances are recorded.**

· Ensure that records are handed over daily to the Field coordinator/s.**

3. Coordination

· Ensure timely coordination with IBVs regarding the daily attendance.**

· Ensure timely coordination with other SWM team/Field Monitors in the camp on daily basis regarding the daily tasks distribution to IBVs.**

· Coordination with the line manager is ensured for timely delivery of required tools and materials to IBVs to perform their daily tasks.**

4. Other duties

· Support the SWM team during the physical inventory of the programme assets.**

· Any other task assigned by the supervisor/manager.**

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Technical diploma or university degree preferably in social work or community development fields

· The holder of this position must have a Bachler’s degree.

· Very comfortable supporting project team

· Be proactive and anticipate emergencies.

· Good written and oral communication skills

· Conversant in English

· Must have strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with an attention to details.

· Requires strong communication skills to interact with all levels of staff and management.

· Must be able to work effectively with a diverse team.

· Requires the ability to work under pressure and on multiple tasks.

· At least one-year experience in field monitoring, working in the camp, working in the humanitarian filed with INGOs and local NGOs.

· Experience in community mobilization, management, in planning, logistics and distribution.
