Regional Procurement Manager
Job Summary:
Directing designated procurement activities in compliance with commercial and technical objectives, allowances, specifications, etc in full accordance with Nokia Procurement Procedures. In addition to negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to attain the minimum cost for best quality.
Has an overall responsibility for procurement within project from bid phase until project closing and prime responsibility on project level for supplier selection, negotiations, contracting and supplier performance.
Key responsibility areas:
• Drives procurement needs in the project by setting schedules and communicating requirements to relevant parties (including Regional/Global Strategic Market Procurement Manager (SMPM) of all categories needed in the project)
• Implements and executes Category Strategies in respective projects
• Interface towards customer teams.
• Manages project requirements regarding material and service supplier base for respective project(s)
• Contributes to supplier selection including collecting input from Project (related to local categories), if required
• Contributes to supplier relationship management for respective projects in alignment & cooperation with Strategic Market Procurement Manager (SMPM) taking into account inputs from Supplier Development , Legal & Compliance Customer Team, Business Units
• Acts as the first & main escalation channel regarding day-by-day issues on supplier performance in projects
• Provides local market and project specific input to SMPM for category strategy definition and supplier performance
• Provides broad knowledge of local market and project specific requirements (i.e. cultural, security, geographical region specific requirements on projects)
• Ensures alignment, anticipates changes and drives activities based on supply market changes
• Completing the Supplier Contracting: Light Agreements, Major agreements, NDAs, TI, CW, SAQ and FLM. Including the developing an in depth understanding of the key contractual attachments.
• Preparing and/or monitoring the Cost Analysis and Management for a new project and completing all calculation for a new project as a comparison to CBL creation tool.
• Proposing and Preparing Planning & Organizing: completing the (PPP) inclusive of ramp-up plan, special contractual and commercial conditions and had it signed by all stakeholders.
• Cost savings across individual categories in Saudi Arabia.
• Contribution to customer satisfaction through subcontractor/supplier performance management and secures Service Business Lines’ profitability by driving the procurement costs down at least in par with the customer price erosion.
• Planning, optimization and development of supplier/subcontractor base in the Saudi in accordance with the sub-regional, regional and global procurement strategies.
• Follow-up of supplier & subcontractor performance’s in projects. Initiation and monitoring of preventive and corrective actions.
