Kvinna till Kvinna is a non-profit organisation that supports women’s organising in conflict-affected contexts with the aim to advance women’s rights and promote sustainable peace. We do so by strengthening and supporting women’s rights organisations (organisationally, thematically and financially).

Kvinna till Kvinna is organised around three departments – Program, Communication, and Resources. Through its Headquarter in Stockholm and 14 country offices in five different regions (Western Balkans, South Caucasus, Middle East and North Africa, West and Central Africa) we work to advance women’s rights. Kvinna till Kvinna has Offices in Amman, Jerusalem, Beirut, Tunis, Erbil and Bagdad in the MENA Region.

The Regional Finance Manager will be placed at the Regional Office in Amman and reports to the Regional Manager.

This is a position open to Jordanian nationals.

Kvinna till Kvinna is looking for a Regional Finance Manager that has extensive experience in the field. As the Regional Finance Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to developing systems and procedures within Finance and Administration in the region, at a time when Kvinna till Kvinna is going through a decentralization process. You will liaise with Head Office and will be supporting finance officers in the region and ensure that Kvinna till Kvinna’s procedures are well known to staff and implemented according to standards. You will coordinate the Regional Finance Officer group. You will also hold trainings to staff and partners on financial and administrative procedures. You will also be responsible to provide regional financial overviews for planning and reporting. This position requires travel to other countries in the region and to Sweden.

The Regional Finance Manager is a member of the MENA Management group.

Education and qualifications

  • Master degree in related field (Finance, Management) or other relevant field;
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience of which at least 4 from working with international development cooperation;
  • High integrity to be able to handle cash and cash related transactions, and to take anti-corruption measures;
  • Great Knowledge of project/results management;
  • Experience of budgeting and budget follow-up of development projects;
  • Experience of conducting trainings;
  • Excellent written and oral communication in both Arabic and English.

  • Commitment to human rights and gender equality.
  • Possibilities to travel all over the MENA region;
  • Readiness to drive in Amman and outside the capital.

Terms and conditions

  • Work time: Full time position for 2 years (incl. 3 months’ probation), with possible extension.
  • Starting date: 5 May 2019 or soonest thereafter.
  • Location: Amman.
  • This is a national position under Jordan labor legislation.
