We are looking for a highly qualified Senior Field Officer is responsible for the implementation of the ECHO project in the field. S/he is responsible for supervising a mid-sized team and providing them with support and guidance in project activities that include data collection though tablets, home visits, Cash for Protection, Information Provision and Referrals.

The assistance can consist of relief and other humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and support to returning home, and the promotion of durable solutions.
About the job
S/he is responsible for daily follow-up on the operation in that area and ensures good coordination with relevant partners and stakeholders (internal and external to DRC). This position is 80 % Office based and 20% field. The Senior Field Officer will assist the Project Manager in the successful implementation of the project. The SFO is also responsible of ensuring an optimal flow of information between the Field Officers, the case managers, the base managers and the support functions at base level
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Oversee Project Activities and Staff
· Provide direction, assign task and give support to project staff in-line with SOPs, strategies and project objectives.
· Plan the outreach visits – with the Field Officers and in close communication with other departments at base level -, support, follow-up and oversee the field monitor daily activities including homevisits, VAFing, data entry and verify that all reporting activites are accurate.
· Supervise implementation of cash for protection programming working closely with other departments including cash distribution strictly following all standard SoPs
· Strengthen and provide on-going support for staff in cash for protection and legal and civil documentation cases in liaison with the case managers and Senior Legal Officer (for the technical components).
· Participate in the development or modification of the tools, databases, referral sheets and materials for the project (i.e. SOPs, Information, Education and Communication materials etc.)
· Support the Case Managers in referrals to other services providers when needed in complete transparency with the Senior Legal Officer based in Amman.
· Identify, analyse and evaluate challenges and gaps in the implementation of the activites and make recommendations for improvement
· Ensure coordination and exchange of information between casemanagers and protection outreach officers. Be the guarantor of a smooth and fluid dlow of information between the teams.
· Organise meetings as per the needs
· Build staff capacity and identify training needs related to protection challenges of both documented and undocumented refugees
· Establish good communication with staff by implementing weekly meetings and exchange of knowledge between field monitors, case managers and relevant staff
2. Monitor and Evaluate Project Activities
· Regularly monitor and evaluate project activities (reporting, field spot-checks, data cleaning)
· Verify the correct inputs of accurate and complete data for all assessed households.
· Provide periodic quantite and qualitative progress reports on operational issues
· Periodically report to DRC PM as per needs and/or agreed timeline.
3. Coordination with DRC projects, partners and external stakeholders
· Establish and coordinate effectively with other DRC departments at base level(Protection, Livelihoods, M&E, Finance, Logistics etc.)
· Establish good relationships with external and local partners (INGOs, CBOs etc.)
· Regularly represent DRC at meetings as assigned by PM
· Communicate, collaborate, share information and ensure a transparent, efficient and accurate flow of information with the Senior Field Officer, Field Officers, case managers and the Amman Head Office
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
Qualifications/ experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Humanitarian studies, Social Work or related field.
Master’s degree in International Relations, Law or related field.
Relevant trainings in Protection and case management
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in the field of protection/law and/or outreach activities and/or humanitarian activity in Jordan with increasing responsibility
Knowledge of displacement context in Jordan and documentation challenges for refugees
Good writing and communication skills
Good knowledge in data collection, analysis and reporting
Excellent computer skills (word and excel )
Managerial skills with experience in managing medium sized outreach teams
Strong familiarity with services available in the geographical area of operation and at the national levels
Ability to develop tools and templates to support project implementation
Critical thinker, flexible and committed to assisting vulnerable people
Native Arabic and Fluent in English

We offer
DRC will offer the successful applicant a Six months including three month as probation period, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work As Soon As Possible and be willing and able to work in Amman -Jordan.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of National Employment grade E.
