Our Disaster Management team acts to save lives and alleviate the suffering of crisis-affected people by implementing sustainable programmes focused on meeting immediate and long-term needs.

Here’s where you come in:

As Syria Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of World Vision’s operations across Syria – providing direction, oversight and coordination to ensure that all programs are implemented to achieve desired results while adhering to humanitarian standards, processes and budgets, and that risk mitigation and compliance measures are in place and implemented.

Requirements:

• Higher degree in International Development or other relevant areas.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience with International NGOs, donor or United Nation agencies in emergency relief/ development programming and operations.
• Strong operations and logistics background.
• Experience in the Middle East Region and in fragile contexts.
• Experienced and confident in external representation with donors and working with partner organizations.
• Fluent in English (written and oral). Arabic strongly preferred.
• Position requires the willingness and ability to continue to function in unpredictable and potentially hostile environments.
