Graphic Designer

Background
Since 2014, USAID Takamol has been dedicated to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment in Jordan. To fulfill anticipated design needs, USAID Takamol is soliciting applications to update its Prequalified Vendors list of Graphic Designers. Prequalified Vendors will be eligible to receive task orders with specific design scopes of work based on their availability, rates, and experience/style.
USAID Takamol accepts applications considered as prequalified designer on an ongoing basis through [email protected]. Individual consultants or branding/marketing firms may apply. This procurement will be valid through April 2021, and the total value of design needs is estimated at approximately 10,000 USD.
Scope of Work
USAID Takamol anticipates the following types of design needs:
· Formatting reports and incorporating design elements;
· Training materials, including Powerpoint presentations, training guides, manuals, and handouts;
· Campaigns material designs including manuals, posters, flyers, and print media material;
· Conference and event materials including banners, backdrops, and invitation card;
· Digital content designs for online/social media products.
Some designs may require a need for developing clear visual representations and infographics that effectively communicate USAID Takamol’s work to a wide range of audiences. USAID Takamol uses Arabic and/or English language and all material produced must comply with the branding guidelines provided by USAID Takamol. Deliverables must be submitted as PDFs as well as a vector graphics file.
Level of Effort and Timeframe
Task orders will be defined as a fixed price for product completion. Each task order will define the target timeline for completion. The timeframe for task orders may range from 2 days to 10 days depending on the product, but short deadline designs are also sometimes required with 24 hour turnarounds.
Qualifications
Interested applicants may submit their application to be considered as a Graphic Designer. Takamol will evaluate applications based on overall price, experience, and demonstrated portfolio.
· Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related discipline is required. Significant design experience may be accepted in lieu of a related education background.
· At least two years of work experience in a graphic design role with a strong portfolio;
· Good command of standard software packages, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-Design;
· Creative and a drive to come up with new designs and offer new ideas for design improvements;
· Strong communication skills for understanding client needs and directions for design revisions;
· Experience of graphic production from start to published/printed product with knowledge of printing processes (offset and digital) and color management is a plus.

o Full name and contact information, including a physical address.
· Attachments:
o CV, including organizations or businesses that you have worked with.
o Portfolio of previous relevant designs.

o Brief about the company and its services.
o Highlight relevant background and skills related to the scope of work. In particular, please note if you work in Arabic, English or both and describe the range of different product types that you have designed.
o Background on how you set your rates. You may share an hourly rate, explain how you generally estimate the cost of a design, and/or share the prices of the portfolio items you submit.
· Attachments:
o Firms must submit the application materials for individual designers such as CV & Portfolio.
o Relevant organizations or businesses that you have worked with.
o Portfolio of previous relevant designs created by the company.
