Locations – Jordan Country Office and geographical area to be covered in the
role are Jordan, Lebanon and Syria
Team Purpose
The principal objective is to ensure database management for the Regional Syrian Response by building
strong relations and networking with stakeholders in areas of focus regarding Syrian response. The team is
also providing that bridging between different stakeholder while enable efficient information shearing.
Job Purpose – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Information sharing: Enabling reports across different internal teams with the ability to produce high quality
reports for a range of audiences in English and Arabic
- Producing, analyzing, interpret and communicate complex and fast moving programmatic information
- Developing written, visual and verbal reporting/briefings, support regular development of comprehensive context
- analysis and risk assessment for the Syria response
- Ensuring that planning, coordination and prioritization is undertake with varied reports and tasks to tight
- deadlines
- Written reports regarding to concerns, issues and flash reports related to the implementation of programming
- Identify programmatic, operational and procedural gaps, issues, opportunities, and facilitate improvements
- Proactively collect pieces of “good practice” from country programs, and when appropriate share document
- Digital Information Management and analytics: Ensuring close monitoring of a number of internal systems
- and ensuring development, innovation and quality
- Data entry
- Information Management Systems in conjunction with GIS visual systems
- Tracking of indicators, norms and identity trends while ensuring attention to detail
- Information creation and dissemination: Ensuring that information is appropriately shared within the team
- and externally
- Ensure that all staff and visitors receive appropriate briefing
- Ensure that the Welcome Pack is updated regularly and contains relevant security information
- Ensure that an appropriate system is in place to provide security information to travellers in advance of their
- departure
- Support country management staff in identifying the learning and development needs of staff, delivering training
- if needed or appropriate
- Awareness: Desk top media monitoring and ad hoc assessments to gather primary and secondary field
- information on areas of intervention.
- Support Regional Humanitarian Access management staff in developing humanitarian issues
- Networking with stakeholders
- Maintain contacts with all relevant stakeholders to develop a network and build relationships with the major
- actors to ensure gathering of reliable security information
- Ensure that all staff and visitors receive appropriate briefing
- Ensure that appropriate systems are in place to provide information to travellers in advance of their departure

Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge
Essential
Arabic and English proficient is excellent in written, visual, digital and verbal
Experience of building capacity of programs and teams both remotely and in person
Proven experience of working in Humanitarian and/or Development context either at a HQ or field level
Excellent teamworking skills and the ability to build good relations internally and externally
Ablitly to remain positive under pressure
Proven influencing and negotiating skills with internal and external audiences
Ability to analyze, interpret and communicate complex and fast moving programmatic information
Excellent planning, coordination and prioritization skills and proven capacity to undertake varied tasks to tight
deadlines

University graduate

Strong computer literacy with Microsoft office and GIS software
Experience of1 year of Syrian response in the humanitarian sector
Practical experience of assessment, planning and implementation of procedures in the context of UN or NGO
humanitarian operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the capacity to remain calm under pressure and
not lose sight of strategic priorities. Must be organised and efficient.
Willingness to travel at short notice, and often in difficult circumstances.
