LOCAL ACCOUNTANT
CowaterSogema is searching for a Local Accountant to support the implementation of the Global Affairs Canada-funded Sustainable Energy and Economic Development in Jordan (SEED) project.
This project will promote solar technologies to support sustainable and inclusive economic development in Jordan. The project will: help improve livelihoods for women and men in the Ajloun and Deir Alla; increase employment opportunities for skilled workers in Jordan’s renewable energy and energy efficiency sector; and strengthen the enabling environment for the growth of a robust renewable energy sector.
In close coordination with the Team Leader and HQ, the Local Accountant is responsible for managing all project finances and accounts handled by the project and will be based out the Ailoun office.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Experience:
5-7 years of professional experience, including experience in development aid and/or international projects;
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (or similar); and
Proficient in the use of accounting systems and software that conform to international standards.
Essential Skills:
Professional Level English (reading, writing, speaking).
REMUNERATION
This is a locally engaged position and a competitive salary package will be offered to the preferred candidate in line with local labour laws. The position is open to Jordanian nationals and permanent residents with international work experience in similar projects and similar positions with authority to live and work in Jordan.
