Country Human Resources Manager (INT4417)

Oxfam is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join their Jordan Country Programme.
The HRBP will manage the country HR team supporting teams in Amman office and Zataari Camp, and hold responsibility for the overall strategic and operational HR management for the programme. Reporting to the Country Director the HRBP will act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team, providing guidance on key HR decisions.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who has interest in/ or previous experience of working in the iNGO sector and a commitment to Oxfams’ vision to fight injustice and poverty.
About the team
Oxfam has been working in Jordan since the early 1990s, working primarily through Jordanian civil society and focusing largely on women’s access to justice and transformative leadership.
In 2013, we significantly scaled up our operations to respond to the Syrian crisis, providing essential humanitarian assistance to Syrian refugees as well as vulnerable Jordanian households, while promoting more sustainable solutions to meet the challenges of a protracted crisis.
You will be an experienced HR professional, with a background in managing others. You will have strong operational HR skills, as well as the ability to think strategically and advice senior managers on how HR can support with overall achievement of the country strategy. You will be strong in managing employee relations cases and have a commitment to prioritising staff welfare and wellbeing. You will have strong level of written and spoken English and be clear in your communication. Importantly you will have a commitment to developing people in their roles.
Contract Length: 1 year fixed term
Location: Amman, Jordan.
